What Our Customers Say

" Amazing! Hayley has literally been my rock through my full home remodel. She is kind, courteous and professional. I would recommend her to anyone in search of interior design "

Stacie

" I have worked with Hayley on many projects and have always valued her insight, knowledge, professionalism and creativity. She has always been a positive impact on projects, big or small. She has a passion for guiding and helping clients reach there visions and budgetary goals with elegance and a smile. She is the only person that comes to mind for anything related to construction design and vision. There are many feathers in her cap and I feel fortunate to have worked side by side with her on over 300 custom homes, Point Ruston Project and currently on ongoing projects. She is the 'Go To' person for interior design. "

Yuchun Santory

" We worked with Hayley for a whole-house remodel, taking our 1990s builder-grade home for our then-young family to an updated, upgraded, and timeless abode for our nearly empty nest. Throughout design and construction, Hayley was terrific to partner and work with — attentive to our priorities, respectful of our budget, and creative with solutions to the inevitable problems involved in any remodel. She went the extra mile, regularly checking in to ensure the desired result. We’re thrilled with the outcome and very pleased to recommend Hayley to anyone considering a remodeling project! "

Steve Reinmuth

" As a builder, I have worked with Hayley on many projects and highly recommend her because of her design aesthetic, depth of knowledge, and professionalism. Stellar track record of beautiful projects! "

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you serve?

We’re based in Olympia, Washington and work with clients throughout Thurston County, Pierce County, Mason County, Lewis County and the surrounding South Puget Sound region. For the right project, we’re always happy to talk about extended travel as well.

When should I hire an interior designer?

The earlier, the better. Bringing an interior designer in at the beginning of a remodel or new construction build allows us to help shape layouts, finishes, and functional decisions before construction begins—saving time, stress, and costly changes later on.

How much does interior design service typically cost?

Interior design investment varies depending on the scope, scale, and complexity of the project. Some clients work with us on a single room, while others engage us for full-home remodels and furnishing selections. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide clear guidance on what level of service makes sense for your goals, give a clearly defined quote and outline expectations before moving forward.

What is the timeline for an interior design project?

Timelines depend on the type of project and its level of customization. Smaller projects may take 3-4 months, while a full home remodel or custom build can span 7-10 months or longer. We’ll walk you through the anticipated timeline early in the process and keep communication clear as the project progresses.

What types of projects do you take on?

We work on residential and select commercial projects, including full home renovations, kitchens and bathrooms, new construction support, furnishings, and whole-home refreshes. Each project is approached with the same level of care, whether it’s a single room or an entire home.

How involved can I be in the design process?

This is one way HC Spec + Design differs from some other design companies, we are actually flexible depending on how involved you would like to be in finish, color and build style selections. We maintain complete transparency with our clients while guiding the process with clear direction and expertise. We handle the gritty details and decision-making structure so you can enjoy the selection experience without feeling overwhelmed.
