My career in design began with a simple step of taking over the paint department at the local lumber yard.  As an energetic and motivated young person, I quickly climbed the ranks and conquered each department in this little store while absorbing all product knowledge training available.

Soon, accepting the position of Contractor Salesperson meant knowing how to do material take offs from blue prints, specifying I joist systems, windows, doors, and siding that met the customers needs as well as building codes.  Lots of classes, seminars and product knowledge meetings!

At the 10 year mark of my career a local builder enticed me away into the world of home building.  As I learned the ropes from this side of the process, I began to acquire an eye for design and a skill for selecting finishes that created appealing interiors and exteriors.  When a premiere custom home builder offered an opportunity, a fantastic partnership began.   Coordinating the complete build of custom homes and working directly with the clients to assist them as they navigated the many selections to be made felt more like fun than work.

As the builder branched out to apartments, hotels, casinos and condominiums, I designed every interior and exterior finish to fit the budget, schedule, and the Owner’s vision.  Developing a 75 acre previous smelter site into a premium mixed use waterfront lifestyle destination,  I was involved in every detail including every panel of siding, wallpaper, carpet, tile, lamp post, stick, stone, brick, bench, trash can, and paint color bringing it all together.

I am excited at the opportunity to deliver  top notch customer service and skilled design specifications to your project.  Whether it’s working within a budget to create selections for your customers, working with a customer to make selections for their home, or selecting all the finish details of each common space and amenity area, I am right at home helping you with yours.
